Frequently asked questions

Before your visit

Simple answers to help you feel comfortable and prepared for your appointment.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Most people feel little to no discomfort. The needles are very thin, and sensations are usually mild and brief. Always tell your practitioner if anything feels uncomfortable.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your first visit includes a conversation about your health history, current concerns and goals. Dr. Sally will create a personalized treatment plan and explain the recommended care before treatment begins.

How many treatments will I need?

It depends on your condition, how long you have had it and how your body responds. Some people notice changes after a few visits, while chronic concerns may require a longer plan.

How should I prepare for acupuncture?

Eat a light meal beforehand, stay hydrated and wear loose, comfortable clothing. Bring a list of medications and relevant health information to your first visit.

How long is an appointment?

Appointment length varies by service. Initial visits generally take longer because they include a detailed consultation. Please check the booking page for the time assigned to your selected service.

How do I book or change an appointment?

Use the Book Appointment button to schedule online through our patient portal. To change or cancel an existing appointment, contact the clinic at (239) 470-7626.
